Artist Statement

Read the words on the page, remember them, rip them to shreds, interpret them, feel them, perform. I interpret words and ideas by embodying and shaping them. I am an artist to the full extent of the word. In all my work, whether it be acting, singing, dancing, or writing music and scripts, I want my audience to feel something: to be completely immersed in the action on the stage, screen, or page. My art is for those willing to surrender to emotions. It is made to reflect upon, relate to, and for some offers an escape.

During the creation process, I experience what I write, sing, dance, and act, by always finding ways to connect to the story or character. I look for meaning in every detail, details most wouldn’t even notice. My art is an outlet for my emotions and opinions, for others to interpret in their own way.

Ever since starting my artistic journey, I’ve been refining my techniques to become the best artist I can be. Countless hours of singing classes, dance rehearsals, bad breakup songs, and acting like a fool in front of class was all worth it. What I want for my art is for myself and others to see themselves in the characters I play, the songs I sing, and the stories I tell.

My art is a reflection of my self through a vision and passion. I find myself creating inspired by the world around me, as I am fascinated and curious about the various facets of life. I don’t find peace in routine, which is why my art is continuously changing and evolving. The is no “Plan B.” Since my “Plan A” follows the dream of a little girl and expresses the passion of a grown woman.
